- A GILT METAL AND PEARL-SET OPEN-FACED CENTRE SECONDS WATCH MADE FOR THE CHINESE MARKETCIRCA 1850
- diameter 55 mm
• gilt lever movement engraved with foliate scrolls • white enamel dial, Roman numerals • case back with painted portrait of a lady on blue engine-turned background, both bezel and bow set with split pearls • presentation case
Condition
The movement is running at the time of cataloguing but may benefit from a service. There is a small scratch to the dial to the centre and some slight hairlines between 11 and 1 o'clock. Enamel plaque with deep scratch to the bottom left hand side. Case with slight tarnishing and scuffs. Presentation case stamped 'J. Ullmann & Co Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tientsin, Wladiwoostock'.
