Aldo Cipullo worked as an apprentice in Italy and later with David Webb before he joined Cartier, New York in 1969.  He was the creator of some iconic jewellery designs, most notably the Cartier 'Love' bangle that is made in two parts which have to be secured onto the wrist of the wearer with the use of a screwdriver, (see lot 224).
