Description

- 36.5cm, 14 3/8 in long
the mounts cast and chased, the head with green cabochon eyes, detachable tail tip, the maker's mark on the tail pieces overstruck by that of William Leuchars for Leuchars & Son, the underside of one of the dragon's feet engraved: 'LEUCHARS & SON, 38 & 39 PICCADILLY LONDON / & 2 RUE DE LA PAIX PARIS,' the other foot engraved with the Patent Office Design Registry mark for 1 (sic) October 1882, parcel 12
Condition
Overall condition good, although the tail-tip is missing (snapped off and lost) a wire for holding the flame-wad; the ram's horn has dried out; marks are generally good.
