Description

  • Silver
  • 18cm, 7in high
hinged cover, the handle with pricked initials M*I, the underside engraved with the same, the body engraved with a coat-of-arms surrounded by a plume cartouche

Condition

One hairline crack to the rim above the hallmarks; hallmarks slightly worn bust still all visible; the thumbpiece has naturally worn a spot on the handle from use at the area of the pricked 'M' initial; overall good condition. The engraving compares closely to a mug by the same maker and is thought to be contemporary.
