campana form, the body engraved 'EXETER 1820' on one side and 'VISCOUNT VALLETORT / JOHN CARPENTER. Esqr. / STEWARDS.' on the other, all above acanthus and palm leafage,  bearded satyr mask leaf-capped handles, fluted pedestal foot engraved 'S. Hennell. 5. Snow Hill. Fecit.', domed cover with chased band of ivy below lobed centre and trophy wreath finial, original fitted case
