Description

  • 127cm. high, 81cm. wide, 35cm .deep; 4ft.1½in., 2ft.6½in., 1ft.1¼in.
with a brèche d'alep marble top above a frieze drawer, the fall-front opening to reveal a fitted interior with leather-lined writing surface, four short drawers and pigeon holes

Condition

Some very miniscule chips to the marble top which are hardly noticeable. The top drawer has later sides. The marquetry is faded on the left side. Some old minor restorations to the marquetry and veneer. The coffre-fort is now missing and there have been some internal restorations to the inside of the lower section and alterations to the lockplate. Part of rear right leg missing, but this can easily be restored. There is a hairline construction crack towards the base of the right side. Later gilt-bronze mounts. In overall good conserved condition.
