Provenance

John, 2nd Baron Monson of Burton (1772-1774) and then by descent to John Rosebery, 10th Baron Monson of Burton (1907-1958), sold as part of lot 133 or lot 134, Sotheby's, London, 19 April 1954.

Condition

Catalogue Note

The arms are those of John, 2nd Baron Monson of Burton, co. Lincolnshire (1727-1774), who married on 23 June 1752, Theodosia, daughter of John Maddison of Stainton Vale and Stamford, of the same county.
