Condition

This piece is in `country house' condition. There is considerable wear to the globe itself with a hole on the underside revealing the plaster frame. There are losses to the gores throughout and age cracks all-over. The horizon ring is very worn with losses to detail throughout with some age cracks and consequent losses to paper detail. The ebonising to the stand is also worn.
