- ROSEWOOD AND LEATHER
- 73cm. high, 122cm. wide (and one 121cm. wide), 71cm. deep; 2ft. 4¾in., 4ft., 2ft. 4in.
each now with a tooled leather inset top above twin frieze drawers and the feet with concealed castors
Condition
Both with one frieze drawer bearing a later Gillows stamp. In good overall restored condition. Minor restorations to gadrooned mouldings. Very minor variations to dimensions.

The pattern of these writing tables corresponds to one with 'handsome pillars' illustrated in Gillows Estimate Sketch Book, 1824 (Westminster City Archive).
There is a related table supplied by Gillows to William, 4th Earl Fitzwilliam, 4th Earl Fitzwilliam in 1822, sold these rooms, 8th July 1998, lot 83.
