Description

  • PAINTED TOLE
  • one 73cm. wide, the other 76cm. wide; 2ft. 4¾in., 2ft. 6in.
depicting figures on horseback in armour, with pierced borders and handles, minor differences to dimensions and colouring of borders

Condition

Both trays have losses to decoration, one more than the other. The one depicting the male figure on horseback is in better condition. Both have crackelure. The tray with the central female subject has scratches to the centre and the decoration is worn. Both are very decorative and would make ideal tray tables.
