the interior with five drawers and five pigeonholes, alterations to interior, probably fitted with drawers throughout

Condition

Generally this piece is in good condition. There are old repairs, marks and scratches consistent with age throughout. The interior has been re-modelled slightly and there are signs that there were drawers throughout originally.The escutcheon is later. The lock and hinges are later and there are patches indicating the siting of the original fittings. The colour and patination are both good.
