An oak trestle table 17th century and later

the four plank top with cleated ends, the end supports joined with a detachable cross-bar 

Attractive colour and patination. Top possible reduced in length. A lot of wear and with old fragmenting throughout. Cleats probably of a later date to the boards. The underside of the top with wedge shaped inserts to secure the typical separations to the bards. The end supports with splits and patching on one sledge foot and with other old repairs. One bearer probably replaced. A lot of fragmenting to the top of the stretcher rail. Some fragmenting to the splayed feet and one foot with an oval patch on the top surface. This lot is very attractive and could be used for a variety of purposes including a dining table, desk or console.
