  • SIlver and leather
  • handbag 33cm, 13in wide
comprising; two brushes, a powder box and cover, a small jewellery box with mauve velvet lining, gilt interior and purple leather base, an easel back mirror, a flask, a pencil, a pen, a button hook, a pocket knife, a cylindrical jar and cover and two glass jars with silver covers, all engine turned and engraved 'Alice', metal scissors, the handbag with gilt-metal mounts and applied cypher 'APE', stamped 'ASPREY LONDON'

Condition

The lining of the handbag has deteriorated at edges, leather with some fading and scuffs, flask with a dent across one side, jewellery box and powder box with small dents to covers, pen broken and would benefit from restoration, comb lacking lacking. Generally a very chic and unusual object that was presumable a special commission from Asprey's.
