Condition
Old very minor chips to decoration as visible from photograph. Some hairline cracks and cracks generally commensurate with age. Some old minor restorations to the scallopshell carving which has been reglued. Two glass panels replaced. Some very minor chips to the marble base. The blue paint inside the lantern is later. There has been some refreshment to blue painting on the pole. In otherwise good condition.

Catalogue Note
The coat-of -arms is vaguely reminiscent of those of the Princes Albani of Rome. Pope Clement XI (1700-1721) was a member of this family.
