modelled by Louis-Simon Boizot, depicting a young woman, partially undressed, seated on the edge of an Empire-style bed, a mischievous putto, symbolic of 'Love', watches her from between the rumpled sheets, waiting to strike her with the arrow in his hand, the bed and plinth in contrasting blue biscuit porcelain, the bed applied with trophies in relief, also on the theme of 'Love' (firing crack to base, minor restoration and losses)
Condition
firing cracks to underside of base and to draperies around bed, minor restoration to extremities, toes on her right foot, the index finger on her left hand and the putto's wing appear to have been restored, the tip of the arrow held by the putto is lacking
