Description

  • incised letter A, the silver mounts with maker's mark .C. above ICH(?), Magdeburg, 1726, medallist monogramm I.K to bottom right of medal

designed by Johann Jacob Irminger, the cylindrical body applied on three sides with a cluster of stylized flowers, the moulded band applied at the foot and neck with husk borders, the silver cover inset with a marriage medallion struck by Johann Kittel, the obverse engraved 'der wasser kan in wein verkehren'  the reverse 'kan auch dem weh des ehestands wehren'
