A German patinated bronze chandelier by Schmidt-Hofer late 19th century/early 20th century

with six candlearms issuing four candlenozzles, the figure of Pan signed Schmidt-Hofer; formerly fitted for electricity

Very nicely cast. Some minor rubbing to bronze. Two of the reeded chains slightly bend and all of the rings would benefit from being secured to their loop. Some very minor scratches. Slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. In overall good condition.

Otto Schmidt-Hofer (1873-1925) was a German sculptor and bronze maker, and produced many neoclassical statues in patinated bronze. A similar chandelier by Schmidt-Hofer is known to have been with the French trade.
