comprising: a pair of octagonal baluster vases and replacement wooden covers, possibly German, painted in manganese with panels of birds amidst flowering branches and a pair of blue and white vases and covers modelled in Rouen style and affixed with scroll handles with a cheub head molded at each terminus.
Condition
The manganese vases: one with two small chips to the rim; the other with two very minor glaze chips to the rim.
The blue and white vases: Both are drilled and have some minor occasional abrasion and/or chips to the glaze. One has a 3-in. triangular piece broken out of the foot and glued back and three shallow approximate 1/2-in. chips to the rim of the cover. The other has a minor haircrack to the rim and a 6 1/2-in. x 1 1/2-in. piece broken out of the foot and glued back in.
