the rectangular top with gadrooned edge and raised strapwork and acanthus-leaf motif, on a stippled ground, the bolection-molded apron carved with raised leafage, on leaf-carved cabriole legs flanking a central shell pendant and leading to leafy scroll feet.

Condition

Overall good condition; top with a shim to the center at join of two planks; top re-gessoed; the whole with later gilding; shell apron possibly later; small losses and infilling to punch ground of outcurved molding of apron; some infilled repairs to foliage; gesso of left side frieze; some infilling to leaf tips of legs; rubbing and wear to gilding; surface stable and in good condition.
