the octagonal top with a solid gallery and decorated with painted anthemion and scroll motif, above a waisted fluted stem with carved leafy collar, the tripartite support raised recumbent sphinxes raised on a tripartite base raised on ball feet.
Condition
Overall very good restored condition; redecorated throughout; small chips and losses to the gilding to edge of top; top loose; the stem with slight separation at collar and loose and with small cracks; ball feet possibly replaced; chips and losses to gilding and paint on one side of tripartite panel above sphinxes.
