of shallow oval form, the rockwork sides molded with shells and seaweed and with shell-form handles, the cover with a large red lobster on a bed of shells and seaweed, impressed MINTONS, date code, shape number 1523 and molded diamond registration mark.

Condition
There is a 1 1/2 in. haircrack to the side of the tureen and a tiny glaze flake to the tip of one claw. The tureen and cover are otherwise in overall good condition.
