the inset leather-lined top above a conforming frieze centered by a long drawer flanked by a small drawers on either side. Restorations.
Condition
Overall good restored condition; the leather lining later but with age and with some age cracks and shrinkage, scratches and scuffs; back left corner of banding with some patches and minor inpainting; patch to the front banded edge; small patches and age cracks to sides of frieze with some infilling and inpainting; the back frieze with some small rectangular patches and with a scuff; the drawer fronts with some small nicks and wear to the cock beading; small chips to apron of front frieze; underside of top with butterfly patches; top reset after restoration; vacant screw holes to tops of interior frieze; the bearers between the drawers appear to replaced; some later blocks and bearers; drawer bottom of central drawer partially re-lined; drawer fronts each with a small circular patch beneath the keyhole escutcheon; back right leg with a 6-inch spliced section at the top; front left leg with an old repaired break to top; formerly fitted with casters; overall with some old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises.
