each shaped hinged top opening to a compartmentalized interior for cutlery and inlaide with an eight-pointed star to the underside, the conforming case raised on silvered-brass ball feet.
Condition
Overall fair condition; the first with loss to the left ebony banding to top of left side panel and with 6 inch loss to ebony banding to top of right side panel; left side panel with age crack to back edge; back with patch approximately 1 inch by 4 inches to the veneer; crack to back edge of right side panel; the other with age cracks to back and with inpainting and minor warpage; losses to corners of moldings and to some inlaid stringing.
