the silvered dial signed Asselin London, and with date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial, the two-train movement with anchor escapement.
Condition
The clock movement is associated to the case. The movement has four pillars and anchor escapement. Two weights and one pendulum.
The case:
Columns to door of hood with restored breaks.
Seat board and upright supports beneath seat board altered to accommodate the movement.
The trunk of the case in good condition with minor shrinkage to veneers; very minor veneer tears to the door over lines of construction; the plinth base possibly later or re-veneered; later bun feet.
