Description

  • Ivory
of cylindrical form, the body carved and undercut with the 'hundred bird' motif, the various birds, including a phoenix, pheasants, cranes and ducks amidst various leafy flowers and plants, further carved with two inscriptions in low relief just below the everted rim, the base with a four character apocryphal Qianlong mark

Condition

There is a shallow 1/2 inch chip to a leaf as well as several smaller chips to the carving. Otherwise in good condition.
