  • height 6 3/4 in., 17.2 cm
seated in contemplation on the back of a crouching qilin, wearing loosely fitted robes incised along the hem with a border of scrolling flowers, the bronze patinated to a dark brown golden color

Condition

There are traces of gilding but most of it is worn. One side of the moustache around the qilin 's nose appears to have broken off early or during casting. In overall good condition.
