Description

  • Porcelain
with steeply rounded sides radially fluted to form petal-shaped panels, the exterior crisply carved with lotus blossoms growing from leafy stems beneath a keyfret border at the rim, the interior further carved with a central petal-lobed medallion enclosing a lotus spray within radiating petal-form panels of lotus florets, all under a rich green glaze

Condition

There is a one inch by one inch restoration to the tip and edge of the bowl with an associated 5 inch crack running down to the center. Two of the foliate tips have been restored. The other tips are worn. There is a 3 inch chip to the foot which has been ground down.
