the cylindrical body tapering to a domed top supported by a curved stepped foot, the exterior cast with two bands of four rectangular panels separated by a band of linked wan symbols, all but one panel enclosing an inscription, all between a ruyi-head border at the shoulder and a border of dragons in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' above a narrow row of lotus scrolls, the domed top surmounted by a handle in the form of a double-headed dragon grasping pearls in its mouths

Condition

In good overall condition. There are some minor scratches and wear throughout, consistent with age. The bell has been polished overall.
