Description

  • PORCELAIN
each in yellow, green and aubergine enamels and modelled with a two-story structure with sloping roofs and arched windows, flanked by two domed hexagonal structures containing figures, the rounded bridge with a figure on a boar-like animal over a moat on a cloud form base, 25cm., 9 7/8 in, together with a pair of enamel on biscuit luohan, Kangxi Period, each seated and wearing loose-fitting robes, 8cm., 3 1/8 in.

Condition

These brightly glazed pagodas have restoration to corners of the roof tiles and associated loss (to six corners on one and eight on the other), restoration to the roofs of the bell-shaped towers, loss of the equestrian figures head on each, restoration to the bridge on one, loss of the boats sail on one and minor firing cracks and minor glaze firing imperfections to both. The pair of seated figures are in good overall condition.
