Description
- Bronze and enamel
the panel decorated with two deer grazing under a tree beside lingzhi fungus and a crane beside a rocky outcrop in a mountainous river landscape, above a panel of lychee, set within a hardwood frame and pierced stand on scroll supports
Condition
The square cloisonne panel is slightly warped and has several areas of enamel re-touching, including to the tree on the left side and adjacent turquoise sky, to the upper areas of the sky, to the dark blue rocks at lower right and around the standing crane, characteristic pitting, crazing and enamel shrinkage and minor enamle flaking, and rubbing to the gilding; the rectangular panel has several small areas of re-touching to the turquoise enamel and tiny spots to the yellow fruit, loss and flaking to the green enamel on most of the leaves and characteristic pitting, crazing and enamel shrinkage.
The wood stand is in good overall condition with the exception of some tiny dents to the edges and light scratches.
