Description

of bombe form, decorated with a wide band of stylised lotus on a turquoise ground, between two narrow bands of raised bosses and two applied lion mask handles on three cabriole legs, ornately marked between two dragons cast in relief,

Condition

The censer is in good overall condition with the exception of characteristic light enamel pitting and shrinkage and light rubbing and scratches to the gilding; the interior has wear charcateristic with use as a censer.
