Description
- Lacquer
deeply carved with leafy branches of lychee, each fruit with diaper decoration on a diaper ground
Provenance
An old Japanese Collection.
Condition
The box and cover are in good overall condition with the exception of two re-attached flakes of the diaper ground to the side of the cover (circa 5 x 5mm and 5 x 3mm), two circa 1cm., hairline age cracks to side of the cover rim and diaper ground and an associated 1.5cm., hairline running across one of the raised leaves to one, a short hairline age crack running across two leaves of the cover and two tiny nicks to the inner flange of the box.
