inscribed in simplified characters, the inscription may be read as either 'happy longevity' or 'to celebrate one's 77th birthday'
Condition
Very good pile overall, approximately 6mm. in depth. Original yellow silk side cords. Yellow silk knotted lattice fringe. Some very minor spotting of ground in main field, in lower right corner and top right corner. Rug would benefit from a light clean, but is overall in very good condition.
