Description

each with deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, enamelled around the exterior with four landscape medallions divided by lotus strapwork and reserved on a ruby sgraffiato ground, the interior with a stylised floral medallion

Condition

The bowls are in fair overall condition with the exception of minor firing imprefections, glaze scratches and one bowl has three hairline rim cracks (30 and 20 and 5mm., long) two with an associated tiny rim chip, and a circa 1cm., wide bruise to the rim; the other bowl with two repaired rim chips each with an associated hairline crack (4 and 3cm., long).
