A similar example is illustrated in Helmut Uhlig, On the Path to Enlightenment, Zurich, 1995, pl. 167.

H. Brinker and A. Lutz in Chinese Cloisonné: The Pierre Uldry Collection, Zurich, 1985, p. 279, suggest that the Qianlong emperor encouraged the manufacture of ritual objects in cloisonné enamel and commissioned several monumental cloisonné pagodas for the Summer Palace between 1764 and 1782, the largest being 293 cm. high, (ibid, pp. 60-61).
