Description

of compressed spade square shape with rounded corners, the russet skin cleverly carved with a fisherman and a woodsman walking in a rocky scenery, all modelled naturalistically in low relief, the reverse left undecorated showing the lustrous jade of celadon tone with natural inclusions

Provenance

Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1970s.

Condition

The overall condition is very good. There is a line carved into the stone to the left of the neck, which is from the time of the original carving.
