Description
elegantly carved with smooth rounded sides, rising from a short footrim to a slightly everted mouth, the countersunk base incised with a four-character reign mark, the stone of a creamy white colour
Provenance
Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1970s.
Condition
The cup is in overall very good condition, except for some very minute nicks and bruises to the mouth and foot, with the largest bruise to the footring measuring 0.4 cm. The jade is of a bright white tone close to the catalogue illustration.
