carved in the round with a recumbent buffalo, its muscular body well defined with a bushy tail curling around its hind leg, tied to the nostrils with a long rope grabbed by a standing boy, his hair tightly wound into a bun, dressed in a long-sleeved outfit and trousers, the celadon-tinged white stone with russet veining, fitted stand

Acquired in Hong Kong in the 1970s.

The overall condition is very good. The actual colour is quite similar to the catalogue illustration.
