Description

well carved in openwork as a fishing boat with a small balustraded shelter, a fisherman seated at the bow with a basket, two other men seated on the upper level around a basin with a fish, two further fishermen working at the back, one side of the boat attached with a fishing net, the translucent stone with minor white and russet inclusions

Condition

This piece is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny nick to the fishing net and tiny nibbles to the edges of the roof and bottom edges of the boat. Please note that the stone is of a slightly more celadon colour than illustrated in the catalogue.
