Description

the domed quatrefoil cover carved in high relief with four kui dragons encircling a central shou finial and reserved on a taotie mask ground, the sides of the cover and box with a keyfret band, the well-polished opaque stone of very pale celadon-white tone with russet inclusions

Condition

This piece is in very good condition with the exception of tiny nibbles to the edges of the rims of the box and cover and foot rim, possibly due to the natural inclusions of the stone, and a dark russet colour vein (approx. 4.5cm) to the side of the box.
