each potted with an ovoid body gradually rising from a slightly tapered foot to a waisted neck below a cup-shaped mouth, the exterior finely painted with a boy reading a book at a desk with scholar's objects, beside a man in a hat together with two children planting bamboo in a continuous garden scene with rocks and flowers, inscribed with a poem Pin bu maishu liu zi du, lao you zaizhu yu ren kan ('Despite poverty, books are kept unsold for children to read; At old age, bamboo is planted for people to see'), the recess base inscribed with a four-character Hongxian yuzhi mark in iron-red

The overall condition is very good. The enamels remain very well preserved.
