Description

each body with shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, brightly enamelled to the interior with budding and flowering mallow and peony stems, the one dish with a small butterfly in flight, the base with an underglaze blue six-character mark

From an old Shanghai collection, 1930s.

Condition

There are some flakes and loss to the enamels. The foot has some tiny grinding nicks. However, the overall condition is good with some scattered kiln grit to the rim and the foot.
