Description

of rectangular form, carved in shallow relief with a long-tailed bird standing on a bamboo branch on one side, the reverse decorated with bamboo trunk and foliage with details picked out in fine incisions, the glassy stone with varying tones of bright green with patches of white and dark green

The long-tailed bird can be identified as shoudainiao, together with the bamboo (zhu), play the homophone of zhu and shou as a birthday greeting for 'congratulations on your birthday'.
