Description

finely carved in the form of a recumbent mythical beast, bixie, with its head gently resting on its front paws accented with sharp talons, the facial features well defined with bulging eyes, its mouth open in a snarl revealing fangs, below a single horn between pointed ears at the forehead, the bifuricated tail curled alongside its haunch, the hair of its legs and tail defined with fine incisions, an elongated twin-comma shaped ribbon curled up to its back, the smoothly polished stone of white tone with russet inclusion

Condition

The jade carving is in good condition with minute 0.1 cm nick below the animal's proper right lip. Colour less yellowish than illustration and the actual piece is in a slightly more celadon tone.
