the thin translucent milky white stone with streaks of black and grey, carved with a twelve-character inscription in zhuanshu (seal script) Xuanhe ernian Zi Zhongshi zuo nong yu bai chuan, ('one hundred strands of jade made by Zi Zhong in the second year of the Xuanhe reign' (1120)), all framed within beaded edges
