Description

well carved in high relief and pierced with a continuous mountain landscape scene of figures engaged in various pursuits within a deep rocky gorge containing a pavilion amid pine and other trees, a bridge over a gushing stream, with swirling clouds above, signed Fan Bin, the top and bottom fitted with buffalo horn ends, the original plugs missing

Condition

There are a few minor chips to the carving - a corner of the roof eave on the house, the top of the net held by the fisherman near the bottom, and a couple of minute nicks to the horn mouthrim. The overall condition is quite good.
