Description

of begonia shape, supported on four cabriole legs, rising to flaring curved sides, flanked by two confronting clambering chilong, their bodies forming the handles, the countersunk base with an apocryphal Xuande mark

Christie's Hong Kong, 2nd November 1999, lot 784.

Condition

The overall condition is very good. The patina ranges from a dark brown to a reddish pink. The lower half of the interior the bronze has turned dark brown due to use.
