Description

each with shallow rounded sides rising from a straight foot, the centre of the interior painted with a lotus medallion enclosed by double under-glaze blue rings, the cavetto further painted with four lotus blooms amidst scrolling folliage interrupted by gilt shou characters, all below a lotus scroll border at the rim, the reverse painted with three scattered spigs of ruyi-heads and the base inscribed with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark

Condition

Apart from some scattered pin-holes and a slight colour alteration around the footrim of one of the saucers, the pair is in overall good condition with intact enamels.
