Description

carved as a recumbent horned beast with bushy eyebrows, rounded eyes, open mouth and bifurcated tail, its muscles and limbs clearly defined, standing foursquare on its paws, the small opening on its back covered with a small coiled beast forming the circular stopper, the stone of greyish-white tone with patches of brown russet inclusions

Condition

The overall condition is very good. The left hind paw has a 1 cm cut on the base from the original time of carving (the knife went a little too deep). The stone has milky inclusions and russet patches. The jade plug appears to be the original.
