Description

well modelled as a standing quail supported on the taloned feet, facing forward and wings folded around the sides with well-defined feathers, the upper half forming the cover fitted along the scalloped edges on the box, the stone of mottled apple-green tone, fitted stand

Condition

The bird box and cover is well modelled and in overall good condition. The box is of slightly darker green in colour, and might be matched. The tip of the back claw of the left foot lost; and minute nicks to edges, light brown and white veining inherent to the stone.
